RoadReady helps UK motorists check vehicle information and keep track of MOT and vehicle tax dates.
RoadReady is developed and operated by SSC Digital Ltd in the United Kingdom. SSC Digital Ltd is the controller for personal information it processes through the app. Contact info@sscdigital.co.uk or visit sscdigital.co.uk.
When you enter a registration, the app sends it over an encrypted connection to our Cloudflare-hosted lookup service. The service forwards it to the DVLA Vehicle Enquiry Service and, where available, the DVSA MOT History service. Their replies supply the vehicle, MOT and tax information shown in the app. Our lookup service does not intentionally retain registrations or lookup responses after fulfilling a request. These services and Cloudflare process the request to provide the lookup.
You may save a registration and an optional label in your garage. The app stores those details, returned vehicle information and reminder settings on your device. If iCloud is available and enabled for RoadReady, Apple's private CloudKit database may sync your garage between your devices. SSC Digital does not maintain a central garage account or database.
The app uses vehicle information to display status, calculate due dates and schedule reminders. It stores a monthly count of new registration checks on your device. It does not use advertising or third-party analytics, and does not track your location or driving behaviour. Apple handles subscription purchases and entitlements through the App Store; we do not receive your payment card details.
With your permission, RoadReady schedules local MOT and tax notifications. If you choose the calendar option, it adds due dates to your selected calendar. You can change these permissions in iOS Settings and remove calendar events from the app.
We process registrations submitted for lookup to deliver the service you request. We rely on performance of our agreement with you for that core function. Device notification and calendar access are controlled by your iOS permissions. Contact us if you have questions about our processing.
Remove a vehicle in the app to delete its local record and sync that deletion to iCloud where enabled. Uninstalling the app removes local app data, but may not remove an existing iCloud copy; you can manage RoadReady's iCloud data in your Apple account settings. Our lookup service does not intentionally keep the registration or result after the request. Cloudflare, DVLA, DVSA and Apple may retain technical or service records under their own policies.
You can request information about data we control, ask for correction or deletion, and raise concerns with the UK Information Commissioner's Office. Email info@sscdigital.co.uk for privacy requests. You can also manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple account.
RoadReady is not intended for children under 13. We will update this notice if our practices change.
